A brief introduction
Born in Bristol, Madeline has since flourished in a pursuit of an outstanding standard of dance training and performing of an international calibre. With an expansive background in classical ballet accompanied by an extensive eagerness in contemporary dance, Madeline has been described as a dynamic, spirited dancer with an excellent work ethic and drive for perseverance.
After successfully auditioning for the Joffrey Ballet School’s summer intensive at 15 years old, she was offered a permanent place at their training centre in New York City. Creating a turning point in Madeline’s career, she turned down the opportunity as she solidified the dream of pursuing Contemporary Art. Drawn to the freedom of expression that contemporary dance has to offer, Madeline went on to train with Trinity Laban Conservatoire in London alongside offering 10 - 17 year olds lessons in ballet and contemporary technique.
Testimonies
“Madeline has shown a commitment to dance and to her own development as a dancer, and choreographer, with a consistent attitude to extend her technique and knowledge of dance.
Madeline has consistently been a hard worker, always showing an enthusiasm for her work. During rehearsals she is supportive of her dance colleagues and extremely helpful to the choreographer willing to extend her potential and try new things. She has an abundance of energy and has always been injury free.
She is one of the most gifted dancers I have had the pleasure to work with in my thirty years of the dance industry. She is intelligent, extremely dedicated, hardworking, with a beautiful quality of movement, excellent stage presence, musicality, and buoyancy.
As a developing choreographer she always pushes beyond her abilities with a willingness to explore new movement material allowing her to create interesting, demanding, and challenging choreography.
As a dance teacher Madeline shows great empathy in passing on her current dance knowledge to the students in a supportive and calm manner. She has shown a professional approach in the attendance of her classes with a supportive attitude to her dance colleagues and peers.
Madeline has a positive demanding curiosity for dance and her ongoing physical exploration can be seen both in her proficient technical ability and her choreographic skills.
I would recommend Madeline Vaughton and am convinced that she would be beneficial to any organizationor company that accepts nothing less than the most gifted.”
